Balcony/Terrace in Hotel Perla
The hotel is located on a cute little tourist hotel/Restaurant pedestrian strip, running about 400 m from traffic circle to Sunset Beach. (Taxis can get closer by the Trinity Hotel, but you'll still have to tote your bags to any hotel but the Trinity, which is not on the hotel strip. ) Each hotel is behind an outdoor restaurant, and the Perla is no exception. Perla Hotel is about 3/4 of the way down the strip. Many rooms have a nice balcony with a table and 2 chairs. We used ours to dry towels and swim suits, discretely, of course, though interestingly, there was no written rule about this. The room had a good-sized closet and a desk. TV was tricky to use - have the front desk person come up and show you. (They're happy to.) Netflix & Prime Video are available. King bed was made from 2 twins pushed together. Weirdly, the top sheet is folded in half on each bed, rather than being tucked in. Then, it's covered by a half-blanket. So you climb in and your feet stick out! I showed the housekeeper how to do it correctly, and she did it for us, but who knows? Some rooms have a square shower, but ours had a curved door, which makes for a very small shower. The faucet and flexi shower head were easy to use, and the water was hot. The elevator is tiny - barely big enough for 2, very tight with 2 suitcases. Room keys are old-style and can be tricky to use without smashing your fingers. Breakfast is €15 and is a decent buffet: Juice, fresh fruit, meats & cheeses, pre-cooked fried eggs (and some sort-of-scrambled, too), sausages that looked like long hot dogs, and under-cooked - but tasty - bacon, kid yogurt, breads & croissants, cold cereal but with warm milk. Weird tea selection, (mostly herbal)but coffee was excellent! Espresso drinks & hot chocolate were also possible. Desk staff is very professional and polite, and very helpful. They speak English well; the other staff not so much.

Superb location for beach (approx. 50m away) and many places to eat, nice cafes. Room was a double/twin with balcony that had partial sea view. Facilities in the room were good, always clean and presentable. Breakfast choice OK, but basic. Fruit, cheeses, meat, orange juice, croissants. Fried eggs and omelettes. If you prefer something more substantial and bigger choice, then you can go to a nearby cafe or restaurant. The breakfast was good for the price (included in the booking). Staff were brilliant. Very polite and happy. Particular mention to Barbara and Vid on the Reception desk. They were very helpful, happy and generous with their time and all my questions. The hotel is small with only 25 rooms and very quiet at night as it is located near a pedestrian only area. No vehicle noise at all. This was in Mid April. It may be slightly nosier in the Summer months. It's about 5 minutes walk to nearest bus (number 6) to go to Old Town. This takes about 20 minutes depending on traffic. Just be prepared for a lot of people trying to board with no queue system. Tickets are cheaper in the nearby kiosks.

The view from the girls' room was exceptional. The beds were comfortable The Maid service was brilliant Loved the bar/restaurant on site, not cheap but excellent quality food Easy to take the bus at top of the road into the Old Town (No. 6). For 35 Euros you could buy a 3 day bus pass which included the walk around the walls and museum entries

Jessica

The staff were exceedingly helpful and hospitable, and the room at which we stayed was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The hotel has a perfect location in a very beautiful area - it's just a few minutes' walk away from the beach and a bus stop where you can take a bus to the Old Town.

Adam

The location is stunning, the view from the balcony is beautiful. The room was a great size, happy we had a safe and a small refrigerator in the room. The staff were super friendly and so helpful. Easy check in/check out procedure. So great that extra bedding was already in the room.
